HANNAH who shaken the heaven with her prayer.

This is women in the bible of jan.
The story of Hannah is written in the bible in 1samuel 1:1-10.
There was a man named Elkanah son of Jeroham.He had two wives,Hanna and Peninnah.Peninnah had children but Hannah had none.Every year Elkanah went from Ramah to worship and offer sacrifies to the Lord Almighty at Shiloh,where Hophni and Phinehas,the two sons of Eli,were priest of the lord.Each time Elkanah offered his sacrifies,he would give her only one share,because she had no children.Because she had no children Peninnah would torment and humiliate her so that she would cry and refuse to eat anything.One day she realized that only god can save her from this problem.So she went alone to the church and cried out to the lord and prayed "lord if you give me a son I promise that I will dedicate him to you for his whole life and that he never have his hair cut" .There is a clarity in her prayer so god pleased with her prayer that he blessed her with a son named Samuel.She kept him until she weaned him then she dedicated him to the service of god.
This samuel became a prophet.God used him greately.God made him to bring back the covenant box from Philistia.He anointed Saul and Devid as kings.He changed the Israelites and made them to turn to god.This is all because of one woman's prayer .
Hannah proved that prayer can change history and also can change god's heart.
Like her have a faithful prayer and the prayer which pleases god.
If you believe ,you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer(mathew 21:22).

Story of the month jan,2011.

As i mentioned there is a best story teller competition in the first week of month, this is the story of jan.
One day a father and his small son wil go for a picnic .so,they go out to the fields outside.they both enter into the field and keep walking.As they walk they cross a slot where a sapling are there& in the next slot later sprouts & later at the ending they come across big crops (ready for harvest )that are bent down(to the ground).The father says to the son look around the field & tell what you see.the son replies dad i find crop everywhere.so the father then tries to explain to the son that when as sprouts they stand straight,head strong upright but as they grow they bend down it means that they become humble,may be through weight of the grain ,in tha same way,when as a small child we will be straight head strong, but as we grow we should bend down,be humble as those big crops-may be experience we approach in life.
So the moral is we need to be humble bent down as we grow.If we humble before god,he will increase us to the greatest extent.

DUTY TOWARDS PARENTS

Very often we take our responsibilities towards our parents very lightly lets see what the LORD has to say regarding this, obedience towards parents is very important issue according to the word of god ,in the ten commandments the lord has clearly laid it out ,"honour your father and mother",so that the days of your days may be long in the lord your GOD is giving you Exodus 20:12.In the new testament our lord jesus set a perfect example by taking care of his mother, even at the point of death,he passes on his duty towards his mother to his favourite apostle john.St.Paul writes in Ephesians 6:1-3,children,obey your parents in the lord,for this is right,"Honour your father and mother".This is the first commandment with a promise:so that it may be well with you and you may live long on earth.One amazing fact about the bible is that it speaks directly to us,it uses direct terms like...you....Once again St Paul write to the church in Clossians,children,obey your parents in everything,for this is your acceptable duty in the LORD.To learn to honour GOD(who is unseen)we should first learn to honour our parents whom we see ....just think how long its been since you've spoken to both your parents?...or. Have you ever told them,Daddy,mommy thanks for being such good parents in my life.

GOD'S AMAZING LOVE

Oscar winning movie Slum Dog Millionaire heroine dumped her boy friend and this has created a big buzz in the movie world it's also part of movie ,the hero comes in rescue for her and he says that he loves her and she says:you love me---so what!!! He gets shattered and heartbroken.See--this is the world that we live in where true love is being rejected and wasted.Do we really value a simple love when other people show us? What is our response?People do everything for their selfish self centered gain.Imagine if JESUS CHRIST on the cross of calvary would have said SO WHAT!!! Imagine our condition,if God woule have said!Ooh it's enough!!Let's start new world.But do you know what he did??? He gave his only son just because he loved us so much.he didn't want us to go astray.He is the same loving lord who is very much concerned for the lost sheep.So he left ninetynine and came in search for the lost one.
What do you think that drawn JESUS CHRIST to cross?it was not the nails which stuck him to the cross but it was his UNCONDITIONAL LOVE for us.Let us reciprocate the LOVE which he shows us by loving him back and also loving one another.

We made some changes in our jy campus gathering to help people to grow in jesus as well to bring interest in people.
Every first week we have best story teller competition for 2min in English,the winner will be given a badge.He must keep that the whole month in jy.
In the second week we have saint story.one person will explain about any saint so that it may help us to be strong in faith and to stand for jesus.
In the third week we have women in the bible.anyone will take care of that ,so that we can know about them their life may help us.
In the last week of month we celebrate birthdays who celebrated their birthdays in that month and gifts are given.it will help to improve relationship as a jy family.
And we also celebrate farewell day and also christmas in jy.
